Nan Geary: Words to Music

WELCOME

Nan Geary grew up in Kansas and went to a convent school. Both of these stark landscapes influenced her art. Early on, she fell in love with rhyme and meter – words and music – and she never got over it.

Nan likes to write music that is singable and poetry that is accessible without a decoder. Her other loves include Gregorian chant, Celtic music, swimming pools, Barbara Kingsolver's prose, Mary Oliver's poems, scented teas, Jimmie Spheeris songs, sleeping late, astronomy (and her favorite astronomer), and most cats. This website offers a taste of her work.
